Health and happiness is, as humans, the highest drive for ourselves and for those we care about.  One thing that is very problematic is that our “modern lifestyle” is riddled with obstacles, pitfalls and landmines.  What I’m writing on this page is my personal approach and some brief thoughts on personal wellness.  Let me be absolutely clear – this my viewpoint, my opinion – and what may work for me may not work for you.  However, with that being said –

The way we feel is (for the most part) the outcome of poor motivation and unrealistic expectations.

Give yourself some credit.  For most of us, it is not our lack of knowledge.  We live in the Information Age.  If we don’t know something, we can certainly get answers in any subject with the click of a button.  In some cases, the answers are not even needed!

If I were to ask you, “What do you imagine a healthy person does to stay healthy?” – you could spout off a list of likely behaviors:

He/She gets quality sleep I assure you…they stretch, exercise, and eat plenty of fruits & vegetables.  They take the time to meditate (perhaps they do Tai Chi?) They certainly leave time to enjoy Life and have learned to manage their stress.

Well, if we know this stuff, then why do we suffer and how does all of this effect me?

As a massage therapist, taijiquan (tai chi) coach and someone highly interested in the field of health & wellness – I am more than excited to share with you some of my personal thoughts in hopes that it

(1) encourages you to evaluate your routine and

(2) gives you some ideas of how you add to your own quality of Life.

More coming soon…
